This long-gestating work finally came to fruition after seing the new ad campaign for the long-running musical "The Phantom of the Opera." While I am all for new and different ideas when it comes to marketing the show, I thought the execution of the new poster art left a little to be desired.
I therefore pulled this graphite illustration out of mothballs and with a little tweaking, some photomanipulation, and extensive use of photoshop layers and filter effects, came up with my alternative design.

Bravo! Bit of a transformation from the graphite form, haha. I'm curious about this new POTO ad campaign, though. Is there any place online we can find it?
Agreed. Even though I was thrilled to see so much publicity for it when I was in New York, I wasn't as impressed with the posters as I could have been. D: I liked the little "The Night belongs to the Phantom" slogan kind of though~
Such a beautiful piece if work. I love it. What is the new poster art? I saw the show recently and was let down by the lack of singing talent. It has been changed a bit over the years and some of the changes I do not like.
