The latest in my line of "Phantom of the Opera" portrait series. Featured here is one of the two actresses who portray Christine Daaé in "Phantom: The Las Vegas Spectacular" at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino. Ms. Loyacano's well-developed and nuanced performance skyrocketed her to the #2 position on my list of favorite Christines that I've seen or heard in my 10+ years as a Phantom fan.

The original was sent to Ms. Loyacano as a gift of appreciation for a fantastic evening at the theatre.

Great work, Raph! You do cartoon work so often one almost forgets what a masterful portraiturist you are. (Is that even a word? Bah, who cares...)

I saw Ms. Loyacano when I went to Vegas aswell! I can't say she was on my favorites of christines but she was definitely VERY good. I was very impressed by the cast in Vegas.

No one has so far, MG ;) Oh, and this one's triggered me to get to work on the final version of Lisa's Christine portrait that's been languishing in my files for a number of years.

Portraits based on photographs aren't too difficult. Doing ones on live subjects are much trickier!

Well, we've all got our own tastes and what elements we gravitate to in a performance or performer. To each their own, I say. Nothing wrong with that :)

The Vegas cast was great. Best time I've had in the theatre in quite awhile.
